I received this book for free from in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

These Royals will ruin you…

From wharf fights and school brawls to crumbling lives inside glittery mansions, one guy tries to save himself.

Reed Royal has it all—looks, status, money. The girls at his elite prep school line up to date him, the guys want to be him, but Reed never gave a damn about anyone but his family until Ella Harper walked into his life.

What started off as burning resentment and the need to make his father’s new ward suffer turned into something else entirely—keep Ella close. Keep Ella safe. But when one foolish mistake drives her out of Reed’s arms and brings chaos to the Royal household, Reed’s entire world begins to fall apart around him.

Ella doesn’t want him anymore. She says they’ll only destroy each other.

She might be right.

Secrets. Betrayal. Enemies. It’s like nothing Reed has ever dealt with before, and if he’s going to win back his princess, he’ll need to prove himself Royally worthy.

We told each other lies.

What a tangled web these Royals have weaved that has somehow snagged me in. Seriously, these books are like crack. I want to be adult and say I’m too old for these shenanigans but I cannot stop. I honestly surprise myself by how much I love to hate and hate to love this series. I guess hate is a strong word for something I don’t hate. More or less willing to the put up with things that irritated me because the end game is in sight and I’m so damn curious for what is in store.

We lied to ourselves because neither of us was willing to admit the truth…

Not much has changed from Paper Princess to Broken Prince. Just kidding. Ella and Reed are still at odds despite Reed pulling his you know what out of his you know where and finally giving us some resolution to that hell-ish cliffy from the first book. Of course, the angst between them two goes on for awhile, so if you are expecting a quick resolution I will warn you that you won’t get it 😉 but what you do get is a little more of an insight on Reed. It definitely helps that we get his POV in this unlike the first one. Again, I’m left to suspend reality, especially when it comes to how they kids act at school. For such a private and elite academy, the bullshit that goes down between these rich brats is shocking. But that is the joy in this series. It’s cray and it sucks you in.

…we couldn’t resist each other.

I feel like I liked this one better, and I think it’s because Reed’s POV really helps justify some of his previous behaviors. Plus, I found him to be less swarmy this time around and the connection between him and Ella seems to be a little stronger. I feel like this is the most negative positive review I’ve done but despite my obvious issues I still found myself reading this non-stop. I’m really curious to how this will play out cause it took a turn that I am kind of excited for.
